nngp aboutus

About us:

The NnGP is a group of GP's that meet on a monthly basis in or near Nottingham.

We are one of three nGP groups that have been created and are supported by the Vale of Trent faculty of the RCGP. But you do not have to be a member of the RCGP to attend.

We have locum GPs, academic GPs, salaried GPs, new partners, people newly qualifying, people new to the area and some returners. We only ask that you be a GP and contribute to the group.

We aim to provide support and ongoing education in the time after leaving your VTS.

We are happy for registrars in their last 3 months to join the group and come to our meetings.

The usual format of our meetings is:

6:30 - 7:00pm

Arriving and dinner

7:00 - 8:00pm

Guest speaker

8:00 - 9:00pm

Open forum

Our guest speakers are invited by the committee on the basis of what the group has previously asked for, we include clinical and non-clinical topics, whatever is requested.

The open forum is a space and time for people to discuss any problems and concerns with their peers in a safe setting. We use the Chatham House Rule and do not minute or record the discussion (also the speaker and any sponsors are asked to leave before we start the forum.
